NASHVILLE BUS ROUTE

Upon completion of my first solo show I find myself a little antsy and not at all showered with cash like my dreams had hoped.  Not really, I didn’t think that at all.  I think I need a change of scenery and I am contemplating a possible short time move to self assign a new job.  To begin I may get on the Metro bus system here and try to photograph the going ons from the bus and inside.  Why?  Not sure yet but it seems interesting and I don’t have to drive.  New York we may meet again.

American Dreaming: The first show.

To everyone that took time last night to come by and see the show American Dreaming I want to say thank you very much. I had no idea how emotional it would be putting together that body of work could be let alone putting in on a wall for everyone to look at. However I could never have arrived at this point without people supporting me and believing in art.Nathan Lee especially was the center point of the wheel by whipping my ass back to the center of the road. He told me that he believed in what I was doing, I’m not sure words could do justice to how that made me feel. Thank you for that. Ellie Crumbaugh,Jeff Lavallee thank for everything. Jeff provided the lights for the show 44 designs is his company. Jeff Frazierfor always inspiring me and his positive guidance throughout the years. I admire his constant energy to engage photography and the creation of art. Megan Lightell her light is intense and I’m glad I get to see it. Her show is up at Zeitgeist currently curated by Lain York. Special special thanks to old friends that came you all know who you are. Jeanne Haynes thanks for helping me with Nashville Scene posting. Chuck Beard you are awesome and what you and Emily Harper Beard do is so vital for the local art scene.
American Dreaming has just begun.

AMERICAN DREAMING: new work MAY 5th 2012

I took my mom on a ride in the van Sunday in Alabama stopping and turning around several times to go back and shoot something on the side of the road.  She was cool with it and always asked what kind of flowers were around where ever we were.
